Founder

I founded GoForth, an outdoor adventure planning service and media company. GoForth eliminates barriers to inspire and encourage people to explore the outdoors to its fullest. We have worked with numerous clients helping them adventure in places like Yosemite National Park, the Lost Coast in Northern California, and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. We also regularly create and publish outdoor-centered advice and stories.

The Dirtbag Diaries

I wrote and recorded the story, In My Heart All Along, for The Dirtbag Diaries, one of the premier outdoor podcasts that has amassed over 20 million downloads since 2007 and is a Top 5 Wilderness Podcast according to Goodpods.

Modern Hiker

I regularly contribute to Modern Hiker, one of the premier hiking websites on the West Coast with over a million page views per month. Modern Hiker has been featured in numerous places, including New York Magazine, Outside Magazine, NPR, and others.

ICAROS

We are currently fundraising for ICAROS, a feature-film adaptation of “COMING HOME”. I oversee the fundraising and social media strategy, which includes both crowdfunding and sponsorships.

I utilized Instagram to raise over $18k during a collective five-week period to fund the production of the award-winning short film “COMING HOME”. Additionally, I wrote copy and used Canva and Pro Tools to create content that constantly hit engagement rates of >9%. Once released, I produced a live screening of the film at the historic Texas Theatre, overseeing the talent and crew to ensure the event went smoothly. The screening drew an audience of over 200 fans and included a photo-opt and autograph signing with several high-profile special guests.

University of Southern California

Social Media Manager

I currently manage nine Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts totaling 80k followers for USC’s admissions, orientation, and financial aid departments. I work with content creators, editors, and graphic designers to share content with average engagement rates of 6.9% on Instagram and 2.7% on Twitter, well above industry standards. I also help create monthly content calendars, provide regular updates on follower count, engagement rate, and reach, and write weekly newsletters unpacking trends in USC’s online presence.

I write for and manage the social media accounts of several Sonder Studio clients, which include wedding and adventure elopement photographers.
